One of each design, all with an iron-on backing that suits denim, cotton and canvas. Working with leather, nylon or anything that can't handle a hot iron? Stitch them on instead.
Easy To Apply (6 Steps)
Check the care label first. If the material can handle a hot, dry iron, you’re good to go.
- Lay the item flat on a firm, heat-safe surface and smooth out any wrinkles.
- Put the patch where you want it, adhesive side down.
- Cover it with baking paper or a thin cotton cloth. Turn the steam off.
- Press firmly with the iron for 20 to 30 seconds. Don’t slide it around.
- If you can safely reach the back of the fabric, turn the item over and press the same spot for another 20 to 30 seconds.
- Let it cool completely, then check the edges. If one lifts, cover it and press again.
Leather vest? Nylon bag? Waterproof or heat-sensitive gear? Don’t take a hot iron to it. Stitch the patch on instead, or hand it to someone who knows what they’re doing.
Make It Last
Give the adhesive 24 hours to settle before wearing or washing the item. After that, treat it like good gear, not something you found on the pub floor.
- Wash cold and gentle, with the item inside out where possible
- Air dry instead of putting it through the dryer
- Never iron directly over the front of the patch
- Spot clean bags and gear that aren’t made for the washing machine
- For moto gear, regular washing or a patch that’ll cop plenty of flex, stitch around the edge as well
