Give it five minutes. The transfer sheet holds the whole design together while you get it into place.

1. Clean the surface properly and let it dry.
2. Line up the sticker with the backing still on. Run masking tape across the top edge to hold it in place like a hinge.
3. Flip the sticker up and slowly peel away the paper backing.
4. Fold it back down, pressing the vinyl on from the middle out with a clean card wrapped in a soft cloth.
5. Rub firmly over the whole design, wait a few minutes, then slowly peel away the top transfer sheet.

Pro tips

• Around 25°C is ideal. Too cold makes the vinyl brittle, while too much heat makes it soft.
• If it is cold, rub over the sticker to warm it slightly before peeling.
• Fold the transfer sheet right back on itself and peel it slowly at 180 degrees. This helps the vinyl stay stuck to the surface.
• If any vinyl lifts, lay the sheet back down and rub that spot again.
• Give it one last firm press and keep it dry for 24 to 48 hours.

Vinyl transfers work best on smooth, clean and dry surfaces like car windows, painted metal, rigid plastic, toolboxes, eskies and smooth sections of boats.

• Avoid rough, porous, oily, waxed, damp or flaking surfaces
• Take your time around small letters and narrow parts of the design
• Keep the transfer sheet low as you peel it back
• Check the product description for the exact size before choosing the spot
