The Caboolture River Fishing & Boating Club has named Blokes Advice as a Major Sponsor, and we’re stoked to be on board.
It started when the club asked if we could help with prizes for their Flathead & Crab Classic. We packed up a bunch of BA gear, covered the postage and sent it their way. The Classic has now been held, and that box of gear has turned into a longer friendship.
After a chat with Chris, their Vice President, we’re even happier we said yes. There’s a fair bit happening down by that river.
A club worth getting around
You’ll find them at 514 Uhlmann Road, Burpengary East, Queensland, on the Caboolture River. They’ve been going since 1972, bringing anglers, boaties, campers and families together.
There are regular fishing comps, BBQs, social events and riverside camping. Members also put their hands up for working bees and river clean-ups. Kids get involved, mates catch up, and there’s usually another reason to head down to the club.
Alongside the Classic, their recent calendar has included a Boat Show and a Father’s Day weekend. Have a look at what the club gets up to. You don’t need to be chasing a trophy to see the appeal.
Having a good time. Doing a bit of good.
Chris also told us about the charity side of things. The club uses events to raise money for local charities working across mental health, homelessness, domestic violence and other causes that hit close to home.
Their Big Breakfast & Charity Cent Auction in August is one example of that fundraising side of club life.
That’s something we’re proud to back. People giving up their time, getting the community together and finding a way to help someone else while they’re at it.
Just good humans having a crack. We’re glad we can lend a hand.
A few dates to put in the diary
If you’re local and keen to get involved, here’s what’s coming up on their calendar:
- Fishing competition: 17 and 18 October 2026.
- Halloween Fisho: 31 October 2026.
- Fishing competition: 14 and 15 November 2026.
- Christmas Party & Trophy Presentation: 5 December 2026.
Check the club’s event calendar for updates and get in touch about joining in. If it sounds like your sort of crowd, their membership page is a good place to start.
You helped us say yes
There’s a reason we’re thanking you in a story about a fishing club. Your BA orders help give us the resources to do things like this.
Buying a tee, a hoodie or a cap helps keep BA going and lets us put gear and support behind people doing good in their communities. This sponsorship pack is one example.
So to everyone wearing the gear: cheers. And to Chris and the crew at Caboolture: thanks for getting us involved.
We’re stoked to be backing you. Keep having a crack.
