You don't need to quit the beers to be healthy, here's why:

Alcohol is often an integral part of socialising and having fun. It's a great way to unwind and relax with friends and family. But it's important to remember that drinking too much alcohol can lead to negative impacts on our mental and physical health.

Research shows that heavy drinking can increase the risk of depression and anxiety, and can make symptoms of these conditions worse. It can also make it harder to cope with stress and can negatively impact our relationships.

However, this doesn't mean we should completely avoid alcohol. Moderate consumption of alcohol can bring fun and enjoyment to our lives. The key is to be mindful of how much we're drinking and to make sure that it doesn't negatively impact our mental and physical health.

One of the best ways to moderate our alcohol consumption is to not drink more than 2 standard drinks per day and to have at least 2 alcohol-free days each week. By following these guidelines, we can still enjoy the social and fun aspects of alcohol while also looking after our mental and physical wellbeing.

It's also important to remember that there are plenty of other ways to have fun and relax without alcohol. From going for a hike, hitting the gym, playing sport, or even just having a BBQ with friends. It's all about finding the balance that works for you.

So next time you're out with friends, enjoy a drink or two, but don't forget to also take care of yourself and your mental and physical health.

Stay happy & healthy lads!
