Stabbing Victim & Paramedic Reunited on BA

The thing about Blokes Advice is that it never fails to deliver incredible stories of the Aussie brotherhood.

A member named Tyler recently took to the private Facebook group as a first time poster to share a pretty horrific tale that happened to him earlier this year. On Fathers Day, he was stabbed in the neck.

After a 6 hour long surgery repairing the damage, he pulled through. Although he will be on medication the rest of his life to prevent a stroke, the only thing he really reflects on is being around for his young son to grow up.

Tyler is considers himself a lucky one, feeling the pain of people who have through a similar situation and not seen the other side of it.

He vented his frustration that the man who stabbed him was out on bail which sparked a lot of discussion amongst BA member on crime, the justice system and

One member said, "My experience with police and the justice system. Has always been, if it doesn't make money they're not interested."

Another replied, "I disagree. Cops want these people in prison, it's the system that has it all fucked up."

Many shared the sentiment that we have a 'legal' system, not a 'justice' system. According to the most recent stats from the ABS, overall crime in Australia does show to be decreasing and comparably low to most countries, but like everything we have a way to go.

The best part of this story was when a fellow member named Chris arrived in the comments section:

"Hey Tyler, pretty sure I was one of the paramedics that went to you that night. You weren't looking great when we first got there. Awesome to see you alive and well."

This comment was huge for camaraderie with members praising medics as some of the unsung heroes in our society, many calling Chris the real MVP.

Tyler couldn't believe Chris has actually seen the post and shared his gratitude, which Chris said he would share with his crew.
